Frank Sinatra wasn't
alone in his 1975 covering of 'Christmas Memories' (also known as
'Christmas Mem'ries'). In 1985 country group Alabama got in on the
act, while 11 years later Rosemary Clooney committed her version to
record. Today however we'll focus on Barbara Streisand's take,
which lit up Christmas 2001 with its old fashioned production
values and the singer's steady hand. The song was the title track
of Streisand's second Christmas album which one plaudits for its
understated nature given the tragic events of September that year.
It also went on to sell well over a million copies.
