Song of The Day: Sufjan Stevens - Christmas In July

Ok, so it's not
July, not even close but then you are on a Christmas website and
we'll use any opportunity to bring up music related to our
favourite time of the year. If you've been on this site before
you'll know that we do love Detroit artist Sufjan Steven's ode to
Christmas which came out as a 5-CD compilation in 2006. That's
where you'll find this one, a not overly sounding Christmas song
but one that is lush in its instrumental approach. The best way to
describe it is busy, in a similar way to that scene at 5am on
Christmas morning when the little tykes do their damnedest to break
the sound barrier unveiling the items beneath the mound of
colourful paper.
