Christmas Bride
Year: 1959
Written By: M. Jay
For those who
haven't heard it before (we hadn't until recently) 'Christmas
Bride' is a revelation. It is taken from the Ray Conniff Singers'
1959 LP 'Christmas With Conniff' and is filled with everything that
a great Christmas tune should have. Built around a simple request
to Santa it achieves that perfect balance between the male and
female vocals. Not only that but the instrumentation is a glorious
patchwork quilt of festive sounds to snuggle up to the glorious
melodies.
Christmas Bride Lyrics
Ohh!!!!
santa make her my bride for christmas
santa it wouldn´t cost very much
Just a sprinkle of reindeer dust,
a sprig of mistletoe
and the sound of your laughter
as you fly above the snow
santa if you will use your magic
this christmas eve while im holding her tight
then i'll whisper the proper thing and offer
please santa make her my christmas bride
santa make me his bride for christmas
santa it wouldn´t cost very much
Just a sprinkle of reindeer dust,
a sprig of mistletoe
and the sound of your laughter
as you fly above the snow
santa if you will, use your magic
this christmas eve while im holding her tight
then we'll whisper the proper things
and wear each others ring
santa make her my christmas bride
christmas bride
