Christmas Is A Feeling In Your Heart
Year: 1953
Written By: Joe Darion, George Kleinsinger
Johnny Mathis
recorded 'Christmas Is A Feeling In Your Heart' for his 1963 album
'Sounds of Christmas'. Much like the rest of the material on the LP
his version of the song offered a rich orchestral accompaniment for
Mathis' deep comforting vocals.
'Christmas Is A
Feeling In Your Heart' was also recorded by another legend of the
Christmas scene Andy Williams. Strangely enough, despite its
glorious nature Williams' version never appeared on any of his
Christmas albums. It was released in 1955 on the Cadence record
label as a b-side to a single called 'The Wind, Sand and Stars'.
The song has popped up on various compilations throughout the
years.
Christmas Is A Feeling In Your Heart Lyrics
There are toys for girls and boys
Silver bells make merry noise
Yet you should remember from the start
Christmas is a feeling in your heart.
Holly wreaths and mistletoe
Carols by the candle's glow,
These are not the most important part
Christmas is a feeling in your heart.
Faith and hope, goodwill to man,
Love and peace, and faith again.
Let the prayers that Christmas bring
Brush your heart like angel wings
Christmas Day will soon be gone
Yet the joy will linger on
If you only learn to do your part
Let Christmas be a feeling in your heart
