Christmas Is For Everyone
Year: 1986
Written By: Goodwin, Loring, Wayne
There are 2
relatively well known songs called 'Christmas Is For Everyone'. The
first appeared in 1986 and was performed by Johnny Mathis for his
'Christmas Eve With Johnny Mathis' album. This version formed part
of a two-song medley, the other half of which was 'Where Can I Find
Christmas'. While Mathis played it soft and traditional things were
turned on their head in 1999 when James Brown wrote his own song
called 'Christmas Is For Everyone'. This composition appeared on
Brown's full length Christmas album called 'The Merry Christmas
Album' and like many of the other tracks it wore its charismatic
funkyness with the aplomb with which we're accustomed to on the
singer's records.
