Contemporary Christmas Songs

When deciding on Christmas songs, some people like to steer away from the traditional hymns and listen to a more current style. Contemporary Christmas songs are great for the holiday party in which many different types of people are in attendance. These songs are most often about the Christmas holiday, rather than the birth of Jesus Christ.

These contemporary holiday songs are lighthearted and fun to sing along to since they usually deal with current events that people can relate to. These songs can be happy, sad, weird or downright naughty.  The bluesy heartfelt song, "Blue Christmas," which is most notably sung by Elvis Presley, will remain a classic in all of our hearts.
