Kindergarten Christmas Songs
We are all aware that a child's attention span is not
very large. Sometimes it seems impossible to teach these young
children any sort of difficult song. Kindergarten Christmas songs
are a great way to let these youngsters in on enjoying the
Christmas season along with their parents and teachers.
If you would like to teach a child of this age a
traditional Christmas song, one that is short is preferred. When a
song has limited lyrics, it is easier for a child to sing along.
"We Wish You A Merry Christmas" is perfect for kindergarten aged
children to sing because it does not have many words and the lyrics
are easy to remember. Other traditional kindergarten Christmas
songs include, "Here Comes Santa Clause" and "I Saw Three Ships
(Come Sailing In)".
Also, it is quite easy to substitute Christmas lyrics
in place of songs that these children already have learned. Most
children this age can recite the song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little
Star", which can be changed into, "Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star".
If you are a creative individual, it is not difficult to come up
with many more 'Christmas' songs that can follow in this
pattern.
When introducing small children to Christmas songs,
it is important to have fun with it. If you are enjoying yourself,
the child will follow your example.
