Non Religious Christmas Songs
Sometimes it is a good idea to forgo the religious Christmas
songs and focus on good old fashion Christmas music. These songs
are usually about the holiday itself and do not mention the roots
of the holiday. These songs are the ones that are about Santa
Clause, materialism and the comedic side of Christmas.
Christmas songs that have Santa Clause as the main
focus are among the most popular. Some of these children's
favourites are, "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town", "Up On The House
Top", Here Comes Santa Clause" and "Jolly Old Saint Nicolas".
Other non-religious Christmas songs are about the
Christmas tree and other holiday events. These songs include, "O
Christmas Tree", "Deck The Halls", "Winter Wonderland", "Jingle
Bells" and "Silver Bells".
Some great non-religious Christmas songs play on the comical
side of the holiday. "Santa Baby" is meant to be a tongue-in-cheek
way to discuss the materialism of Christmas. Other comedy Christmas
songs include, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause", "I'm Gettin'
Nuttin' For Christmas" and "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two
Front Teeth".
Non-religious Christmas songs are great for holiday parties
which have a wide range of people in attendance.
